Lower Geyser Basin is a 0.65 mile round trip lasso loop hike with 30 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 86 miles west of Cody Wyoming. The trailhead is car accessible. June and September are the best months to enjoy this hike.
Overview: Lower Geyser Basin features a large mudpot called 'Fountain Paint Pot' that bubbles in many places creating fanciful patterns on the surface, and also several small geysers erupting once in a while.
