Broken Top Loop is a 1.8 mile round trip hike with 270 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 63 miles north of Burley Idaho. The trailhead is car accessible. May and September are the best months to enjoy this hike.
Overview: Trail goes through the newest lava flow in the park and provides views of most of the volcanic features: loose cinders, globs of molten rock, lava tubes and fields of different types of lava. There are numbered poles along the trail with descriptions provided in the brochure available at the trailhead or from NPS website.
