Overview: Trail goes through the newest lava flow in the park and provides views of most of the volcanic features: loose cinders, globs of molten rock, lava tubes and fields of different types of lava. There are numbered poles along the trail with descriptions provided in the brochure available at the trailhead or from NPS website.
