Overview: The first section of the loop is a classic wide nature trail with small signs showing names of cacti and other plants along the trail. Almost at the campground the trail narrows, turns left and goes to picnic areas where it turns left again and follows the gravel road back to visitor center. At one point the trail provides view of the hole in the wall, but it may be not the hole after which the area is named.
