    To hike
    California State Park system. Ten dollar day fee, self-pay. There are a couple free spots on the shoulder of the road. I-80 exit 135 Colfax. Take the south frontage road which is North Canyon Way, two blocks west to Iowa Hill Road. Take Iowa Hill Road south 2.7 miles. Trailhead is just north of the river bridge on the east side of the street.
