Syllabus
Iron Mountain - Poway is a 5.65 mile round trip hike with 1,156 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 16 miles northeast of San Diego California. The trailhead is car accessible. November and April are the best months to enjoy this hike.


Overview: This is a quick hike up to a scenic peak on the western edge of Cleveland National Forest near the Poway area of San Diego. A very nice short peak to bag if you are in the area.

    To hike
    Trail head is located on Highway 67 and Poway Road. Just north of the intersection, on the east side of the road. There is a large gravel parking area on the side of the highway.
