Little Gnarly is a 2 mile one way hike with 400 feet elevation gain. Located 6 miles north of Flagstaff Arizona. Trailhead access is via a dirt road which is typically car accessible when dry. September and May are the best months to enjoy this hike.
Overview: Relatively short connector trail between the Sunset Trailhead and the Brookbank Trail. Little Gnarly is not part of the official FS trail system due to it crossing private land. The private land is open to public use, and sees a heavy amount of mountain bike and hiking use. Little Gnarly crosses the edge of the beautiful meadows of the Dry Lake Hills
