This trail provides "easy" access to 2 of Southern Nevada's highest peaks - Charleston and Griffith Peaks. A lot of effort is needed to make the climb, but the trail is a good one and the views from the top are well worth it. Can be hiked as an out-and-back or a loop by connecting with one of several other trails.
When hiking several trails on a single "hike", log it with a generic name that describes the hike. Then link the trails traveled, check out the example.
WARNING! Hiking and outdoor related sports can be dangerous. Be responsible and prepare for the trip. Study the area you are entering and plan accordingly. Dress for the current and unexpected weather changes. Take plenty of water. Never go alone. Make an itinerary with your plan(s), route(s), destination(s) and expected return time. Give your itinerary to trusted family and/or friends.

If you park in the free parking, just walk a few hundred meters up the road to the trailhead.
Be sure to verify the time the gate gets locked if you park in the picnic area, or you might spend an unexpected night in your car.
