Canyons are inherently risky. Flash floods occur without notice on sunny days. Technical skills & surrounding topography knowledge required yet does not eliminate risk.
Overview: Yet another great technical canyon on the eastside of the northern Mazatzals with a handful of rappels up to 150ft and of course loads of down climbing and rock hopping. We left a lower shuttle vehicle at the Deer Creek TH and continued on to the Barnhardt TH to hike up the Y Bar trail. Check out the Triplogs.
