Syllabus
Cross Canyon is a 1.75 mile one way hike with 1,060 feet elevation gain. Located 38 miles east-southeast of Mesa Arizona. The trailhead is car accessible. February and March are the best months to enjoy this hike.


Overview
Not for everyone, this is an old mining road hike up to the base of the Apache Leap cliffs. The payoff is a good workout, panoramic views, and with a little curiosity you can find some interesting old mines.

    Route 177 south from Superior Hwy 60 about five blocks to Sunset. Park on the shoulder. The road goes up up up to the east.
