To hike
$25 entry fee to GNP. From West Glacier, take the Going to the Sun Road to Lake McDonald Lodge (From the entrance ranger station, proceed approximately 1.3 miles to a stop sign and turn right. Continue 8.9 miles on the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The lodge will have signage and you will make a left turn into the parking lot.). From St Mary's, take the Going to the Sun Road approx 39.4 miles to Lake McDonald Lodge or catch a shuttle at St Mary's Visitor Ctr (check shuttle schedule online or in the GNP newspaper). The Trailhead is across the street from the Lodge on Going to the Sun Road.
