Long House is a 0.75 mile round trip hike with 130 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 37 miles west of Durango Colorado. The trailhead is car accessible. May and October are the best months to enjoy this hike.
Overview: On this 90-minute guided tour you will ride a tram to and from the trailhead. In the site you will climb 2 15-foot ladders. Allow 1 ¼ hours for this drive from the visitor center, and vehicles over 25 feet long are not permitted on this road. While out there in this part of the national park, you can do a tour of the Step House without a guide, near where the tram departs from.
