Presidential Trail is a 0.55 mile round trip loop hike with 125 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 18 miles southwest of Rapid City South Dakota. The trailhead is car accessible. September and June are the best months to enjoy this hike.
Overview: Interpretive trail gives you close-ups of presidential faces from unusual angles. Information stands along the trail explain accomplishments of sculpted presidents along with some pages from US history and monument creation history. The trail is mostly stairs and is supposed to be walked clockwise.
