Overview: The Godfrey Pond Trail begins on the Laurel Trail at post #23 and goes around the scenic Godfrey Pond, passing by the old stone dam and it's resulting waterfall and crossing the Godfrey stream as it flows into the pond before reconnecting to the Laurel Trail on the east side of the pond.

Dress for the current and unexpected weather changes. Take plenty of water. Never go alone. Make an itinerary with your plan(s), route(s), destination(s) and expected return time. Give your itinerary to trusted family and/or friends.
No fee, however you must take a free map from the kiosk as your permit for hiking in the Nature Conservancy Devil's Den Preserve.
Paved - Car Okay
To hike From the Merritt Parkway (CT-15) take Exit 42 and proceed north on CT-57 for 3.8 miles. Bear right at light onto CT-53 and proceed 1.7 miles. Turn left on Godfrey Road and proceed .5 miles. Turn right onto Pent Road (note Nature Conservancy sign). Follow to end of road and trailhead parking lot.
