Expand MapOverview: The ambiguously named K Trail is part of the Gold Canyon Trail System on State Trust Land east of Gold Canyon. The trail takes off from the Lost Goldmine Trail at the east base of Turk's Head. Designed for mountain bikes it twists and turns its way south eventually intersecting the Vortex Trail near its eastern junction with the Old Horse Trail.

    To hike
    From US60 go north on Kings Ranch Road approximately two miles to Apacheland. Park at Apacheland and cross the property to the State Trust Land border. A sign for the K Trail will lead you northeast on a jeep road toward Turk's Head. The trailhead is off the Lost Goldmine Trail at the east base of Turk's Head.
