Peak 2021 - Hieroglyphic Mtns is a 0.5 mile round trip hike with 250 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 21 miles northwest of Glendale Arizona. Trailhead access is via a dirt road which is typically car accessible when dry. January and December are the best months to enjoy this hike. This hike involes off trail navigation. Review triplogs, photos and the route to understand the terrain before heading out.
Overview: Several options as a photography area west of Lake Pleasant, just off of Carefree Highway. You can either opt to climb up to the Peak following an ATV Trail, or stay down below and take your pick of the thousands of saguaros in the valley below. This small peak sports miles of views in every direction with an wonderful stretch of valley all the way to the horizon. You also have nice views of the White Tank Range from this vantage point.
