Drove up this road but you can't drive to the movie set due to having to cross the muddy river. I was with someone who didn't really want to wade through the mud, and I was pretty sure I didn't want to drive the Jeep across it either. Interesting history about the old town of Pahreah, which was occupied and farmed by a mix of Mormons and Paiutes in the late 1880s. There is a cemetery there with a plaque and some headstones. Out of 13 names on the plaque (mostly Smiths) 7 were children. Hardscrabble life, eventually flooded out.

As for the movie set, the info on a plaque at the highway says the original set was damaged by flood, then destroyed by arson, and then rebuilt by locals as a tourist attraction.

I went traveling with what turned out to be an almost dead camera battery and no SD card. Got one photo in the camera itself before the battery died. Oh, well, take only memories, leave only Jeep one photo.
