Syllabus
Forest Road 90J and Forest Road 5572 is a 9 mile one way hike with 480 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 7 miles east of Alamogordo New Mexico. Trailhead access is via a dirt road which is typically car accessible when dry. October and May are the best months to enjoy this hike.

    To hike
    From Alamogordo, follow highway 82 to High Rolls, turning south (right) on to West Side Road (Forest Rd 90). Follow FR 90 about 3 miles out to the blocked Jeep route on your right. It may or may not be marked.
