Overview: A steep, strenuous, scenic trail following Ophir creek up the side of Slide Mountain. It meets the Tahoe Rim Trail and follows it to the trailhead at Tahoe Meadows Interpretive Trail.

    Drive south of Reno on U.S. 395 into the north end of Washoe Valley then head south on Franktown Rd. Trailhead is in Davis Creek County Park.
