West Trail #318 is a 1.54 mile one way hike with 265 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 5 miles west-southwest of Prescott Arizona. The trailhead is car accessible. October and April are the best months to enjoy this hike.


Overview: This is one of the north Thumb Butte area trails. It begins about 0.3 miles from the Trailhead for the Pine Lakes Trail #316. It ends at the junction with Trail 332, a segment of the the Prescott Circle Trail.

    To hike
    from downtown Presscott travel west on Gurley St., which becomes Thumb Butte road. Continue on to the Thumb Butte Picnic Area ~3 miles from the courthouse. Trailhead 316 begins across from the restrooms on the north side of the parking area.
