Mary Bowerman Loop - Mount Diablo is a 0.7 mile one way hike with 66 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 18 miles east-northeast of Oakland California. The trailhead is car accessible. October and June are the best months to enjoy this hike.
This is a very easy loop trail that begins just below the summit of Mount Diablo, and circumnavigates the peak with an impressive view of the bay area and Northern California.
The trail is named after and dedicated to Dr. Mary Bowerman, a botanist and co-founder of Save Mount Diablo.
