A hike up Crrbon Canyon at River Mile 65. The top of the canyon has a 2 billion year old Precambrian rock formation tilted vertical by continental drift forces. You can proceed west and exit Chuar/Lava back to the River. This is an easy approach back to the River.

Best approach is by rifer raft down the Colorado River. It is possible to approach from the North Rim.
