The Prospector Trail combines single-track and dirt road sections - the road was at one time used by prospectors in the area. Very nice views of the Pine Valley Mountains and Red Cliffs NCA throughout the ride, and mostly easy enough trail to enjoy looking around. There are a few short slickrock sections and the trail connects to many of the other trails in the area, making it a ride beginner and intermediate bikers can both enjoy. Along the trail, there are several sandy wash crossings, but most are quite short and a good chance to take some pictures or enjoy the views while you push your bike. The trail is shared by bikers, hikers, and horseback riders, so be sure to keep a sharp look-out while riding.
