Just outside of Anchorage, McHugh Creek State Wayside Trailhead provides access to the SW tip of the Chugach range. There are a mix of easy to difficult hikes to be had. There is a $5 day use fee.

    This is a difficult hike. Arrive fit and prepared or this could get ugly.
