Expand MapThe trail starts out across open desert, takes you past an old homestead site, and into Pine Creek Canyon.
Water and cooler canyon temperatures add up to interesting vegetation, such as ponderosa pines and riparian vegetation. Also, a few old fruit trees still hang on.

    Take Charleston Blvd / NV 159 west from Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon NCA. After the entrance station, drive around the Scenic Dive to the prominently-signed Pine Creek Canyon parking lot. The trail starts here.
