The trail starts out across open desert, takes you past an old homestead site, and into Pine Creek Canyon. Water and cooler canyon temperatures add up to interesting vegetation, such as ponderosa pines and riparian vegetation. Also, a few old fruit trees still hang on. Check out the Triplogs.
