This trail initially follows an old road across open desert to the mouth of Oak Creek Canyon. Use trails head further up canyon for those who wish to explore.

    To hike
    Take Charleston Blvd / NV 159 west from Las Vegas to Red Rock Canyon NCA. After the entrance station, drive around the Scenic Dive to the unpaved (but signed) road toward Oak Creek. Turn right and drive along this generally good road for <0.5 miles to the parking and bathroom. The trail starts here.
