    High Clearance possible when dry

    To 4x4 trip
    From Interstate 8 at Ocotillo: Drive North on Hwy S2 to the Sweeney Pass area at Hwy S2 GPS Coordinates 32.847501 -116.200753; Here turn South (Left) into possibly signed Carrizo Canyon Wash; When possible, it is recommended to drive on the East side of this large Canyon Wash which continues South for a number of miles before the driving route ends at a rocky and often running water route termination;
    Please Note: Carrizo Canyon Wash is a sandy wash to navigate and can sometimes have deep sandy areas.. be careful not to get stuck.. High Clearance 2WD normally possible when dry, but High Clearance with 4WD is preferred;
