Overview
Mt. Roosevelt is a 1.4 mile round trip hike with 188 feet accumulated elevation gain. Located 3 miles north of Lead South Dakota. Trailhead access is via a dirt road which is typically car accessible when dry. September and June are the best months to enjoy this hike.

This is a memorial built to honor President Theodore Roosevelt. A nice hike to a forty foot tower that has a spiral staircase for a view overlooking the great plains from the Black Hills. Seldom visited.

Check out the Official Route.
