Overview: This segment of the Continental Divide Trail begins at NM Hwy 15 at the Arrasta site just north of Pinos Altos, and ends at Sapillo Group Campground on NM Hwy 35. Gila N.F. identifies this as trail 74; the Continental Divide Trail is signed with the CDT logos on trees and signposts. Mileage is approximate (Gila National Forest information).

    To hike
    From Silver City, NM, travel north on NM highway 15 for 8.3 miles to the Arrasta Site sign on the right. Turn right at the Arrasta sign, and follow Forest Road #4258 (dirt) for 0.1 miles to its end at the trailhead/arrasta site parking area. The Continental Divide Trail is signed with the CDT logos on trees and signposts.
