![]() At 9983 feet, Pyramid Peak is the high point of the Desolation Wilderness. It can be reached via several different approaches. Among them, Lyons Creek Trail to Lake Sylvia, Rocky Canyon, and Horsetail Falls. Rocky Canyon is the shortest and most popular route, gaining the summit in just over 4,000 feet. There are no official trails to the peak, but it gets plenty of visitation and cairned use trails exist where lack of talus allows.
