The Townsite Mine outside of Pringle South Dakota was in pursuit of granite pegmatite. Beautiful specimens litter the ground everywhere. A spectacular wooden mill stands in excellent condition on location. Seldom visited.

    To hike
    Highway 89 to highway 385 in Pringle South Dakota. Go east 1/2 mile to county road 334 and go south 1 mile to unmarked trailhead. The only marking there is a forest service sign stated No Motor Vehicles.
