Jozani National Forest, WW

Jozani National Forest of Zanzibar is home of the endangered red colobus monkeys. They only resident in Zanzibar and are common in Jozani. To access the forest, you need a guide and pay the entrance fee ($10 as of 2021).


Jozani is a rainforest with well-maintained trails and plenty of wildlife, including chameleons, monkeys, civets, mongooses, various tropical birds, and various reptiles. They have the largest millipedes that I've every seen. The forest also contains a mangrove that harbors sea-life.
