views without the effort by LindaAnn ![]() Overview: Very short walk out to Strawberry Point.
Hike: From the parking area, which has a vault toilet and room for about ten vehicles, head out on the trail (signed) through the fence to the right of the restrooms. The trail heads slightly uphill through the trees and in just a moment you are at Strawberry Point. There are paths leading to the rim edge for excellent views of the pink/orange hoodoos just below you, and south towards Zion in the distance. As you make your way along the edge of the rim, a narrow rock peninsula leads out to the edge of Strawberry Point. The path is only about three feet wide, with steep drops on both sides as you step out onto the peninsula, but then widens to about five or six feet the rest of the way out. Walk as far as you are comfortable, there is a survey mark and some short metal poles out at the "end". Views are outstanding from here.
