Overview: There are actually three small lakes on this hike and none of them is Bear Lake. They are Little Bear Lake, Cub Lake and Big Bear Lake. Its a nice hike which ends at the Silver Lake Trail which can be continued to the Pacific Crest Trail.

    To hike
    From Graeagle,Ca. travel south on Hwy. #89 for approximately 1.25 miles and turn right onto Forest Route #24. Follow this road for approximately 6.7 miles, turn right on marked forest road towards Lakes Basin Campground. Proceed one mile, pass the campground and lodge to trailhead.
