The Armleder-Lunken Connector Trail is a one-way scenic, paved pathway linking Otto Armleder Memorial Park to the Lunken Loop Trail. The trail is multi-use, perfect for walking, biking, skating, and running. This trail is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking exercise, relaxation, or a way to connect with nature.

History
The Otto Armleder Park Trail benefits from a cooperative management system between Great Parks of Hamilton County and the Cincinnati Park Board. This partnership ensures that visitors do not need to purchase a Great Parks motor vehicle permit.

Hike
The width of the trail varies, typically ranging from 3 to 7 feet, with strategically placed wider sections to allow for easy passing. A painted dividing line runs along the center of the trail to help manage traffic flow and reduce the risk of collisions. Maintenance is another strong point of the trail. The surface is kept in excellent condition, free from cracks, debris, or other obstacles that could impede movement. The trail is also well-marked with clear signage, making it easy to navigate even for first-time visitors. The view from the trail includes a mix of trees, open meadows, and prairie, as well as views of the Little Miami River and a bridge crossing over Duck Creek. Otto Armleder Memorial Park has a reputation for being great for birdwatching. Seasonal changes bring wildflowers in the spring and summer and warm hues of autumn.

Water Sources
The trail is notable for its proximity to local waterways. It crosses over Duck Creek, a tributary of the Little Miami River, and offers sections that run directly alongside the river itself.

Warning
Unlike the rest of Otto Armleder Memorial Park, seasonal factors can affect the trail’s accessibility. The trail is subject to closures during periods of high water, as its usability is tied to the Ohio River gauge level. After heavy rains or during flooding, the trail may be temporarily inaccessible even if the park remains open. Visitors are encouraged to check water levels before planning their trip to avoid disappointment. The Armleder-Lunken Connector Trail is closed when the Ohio River level is at 38 feet. Otto Armleder Memorial Park closes when the river level is at 42 feet.

Additionally, during the early spring and summer months, the area can be buggy, which may require some preparation, such as insect repellent, for a more comfortable outing.
