Great hot weather hike under dense forest shade. The trail is uniquely marked by bones. Good intuition or gps would be helpful as there are many trails, stay on the main trail and watch for bones among the boulders. Fun hike with a dog.

    To hike
    Highway 44 10 miles west of Canyon Lake. Take Log Porch Rd (FSR 173) off of W Highway 44 between Morse Pl. and French Dr. Go on a dirt road for about 3 miles. The trail starts a couple of different places but the main trail is at a small grassy turn off from the dirt road.
