Syllabus
Salt River at Regal Canyon is located 70 miles east-northeast of Mesa Arizona. A high clearance 4x4 vehicle and a competent driver is recommended to access the trailhead. March and November are the best months to enjoy this hike. This hike involes off trail navigation. Review triplogs, photos and the route to understand the terrain before heading out.

Globe to Seneca Lake via US60. Access is strictly 4x4 via FR473A. Most stock 4x4 vehicles with "LT" rated tires are sufficient to access this location. See forest service maps and topo maps for detailed clarification of access route.
