Expand MapA strenuous, 3.7-mile out-and-back trail in Kittitas County, Washington, with a 2,485 ft elevation gain, rated as Black Diamond difficulty by Trailforks. The trail runs through the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, starting at Forest Road 4330 and ending at Fish Eagle Pass, offering a challenging but rewarding experience for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Expect a rough and rocky path, particularly along the creek, with sections of the trail that are difficult to follow and can disappear in the meadows leading to the pass.


Access: Trailhead located on Forest Road 4330, near the Scatter Creek Campground in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.

Rough and Rocky Terrain: The trail is known for its rocky and rough sections, especially alongside Scatter Creek

Difficult to Follow: The trail can become hard to find and may disappear in the large, lush meadows that lead to Scatter Creek Pass.
