From what I've learned talking with the backcountry rangers at the Canyon, hyponatremia really is a problem there in the summer. Sports drinks, even full strength, only supply around 30% of the electrolytes the body needs, so eating salty foods is also a really good idea. (Eat, drink, and be merry.....

I'm going to West Clear Creek and was wondering if you can hike down cash tank with out being a hardened rock climber. Can you exit at Rim tank with out being a rock climber. Are there any exit points past Rim Tank. There is a path from the end of the road past Cash Tank to the bottom of the canyon...
