Really dumb thing...running over deep ditch at Papago; foot hit top of berm.slipped but spun me, dislocated leg and slammed down on top of opposite rocky berm; femur went into pelvis almost cut femoral artery; shattered due to twist, so not clean break; 11days in hosp; 6 mos. rehab and gym and walki...

Does anyone know a Podriatist anywhere? I am having some foot stuff go on from standing for 28 yrs. + need some corns,etc taken out. My hiking boots didn't feel very good yesterday+I have got to get this done before I even think of my ski boots or a long hike! Any info anyone??

Great post,Pete. Glad you are here to recount it. I think panic is the worst and first thing we face. If you can control that factor,usually the rest falls into place. Scarey, but monumentous adventure! So glad that you all did well and are here !The pics were awesome! Thanks!
