Lost Sierra Route

The Lost Sierra Route will encompass scenic stretches of the Yuba River. When it’s completed, the new 600-mile Lost Sierra Route will wind along the rugged ridgeline of 15 Northern California and Nevada mountain towns, from Truckee to Susanville. With the first section of the trail expected to open ...

The Back-country Office on the S. Rim is the place to go. Phone is 928 638 7875, but in-person is best (who can resist a hiker-in-need.) Here are some options other than B.A. camp and Cottonwood: Camp at Horn Creek - 1.5 miles west of Indian Garden (accessed via Bright Angel Trail) on the Tonto Trai...

Re: Motorized Electric Bikes On Trails

So this ebike stuff hasn't been codified just yet? True. Congress now has THEIR hands out to the folks who may benefit from this. (Also; I wonder where nearly all these bikes are made? - I thought the BBB pertained to AMERICA.) Many bike companies claim 'Made in America', however they take license ...

Re: Motorized Electric Bikes On Trails

Those that cost more than $3,000 don't qualify for any credit; nor do those with motors more powerful than 750 watts; also excluded are e-bicycles that can...

Re: Royal Arch Route, AZ. Rappel and upclimb options.

If coming from the RA drainage as one approaches the 'rappel station' visually it gives one pause. But it is a pretty easy un-roped down-climb actually (without your pack of course); the rock is pretty bomb and there is a small landing, too, in case.

In places like St. Croix the vehicles are LHD but driven on the left. (Likely US vehicles with left-over French laws)
