Re: Fishing and hiking
My fiancee and I were thinking of honeymooning in the area between Knoll Lake and Willow Springs. Does anyone know if it's feasible to do some hiking, fishing, and camping in the area? Are the lakes accessible by truck in March? How long does FR300 stay closed? That seems to be the artery to the are...

Very nice. Enjoy! My brother lives in Alaska. I spent some time in the summer up there. The fishing was great. I love that place. Watch out for the mosquitos!

Hiking Underwear
Seriously. I've had a few chafing episodes, especially when I get a little sweaty. Does anyone have any recommendations for good drawers for warmer hikes? boxers? briefs? boxer-briefs? something else? My brother said he wears spandex biker shorts under his pants. Haven't tried that, but I may...

I agree. This is a divisive issue that isn't going to change anyone's opinion. People will get upset and the hiking world will just become a little less friendly.

Are the forks of the river along each trail easily accessible for the majority of the hike? I'm wondering how much water to take. I've never been there, obviously, so I don't know if the streams are canyon-like. I'd like to be able to carry a minimal amount of water and then mosey down to the river ...
