Re: North America's oldest rock art.

Since the area was once completely under water, it's clear that these carvings were created by the early Fish People. Unfortunately, the Fish People were soon made extinct by the Rock People that didn't like being carved upon.

Re: largest & tallest saguaros

This one was one of the tallest I had seen around AZ...and, it was standing proud, my guess was over 50 feet, on South Mountain back in 2001...

Re: What would you do with $355 Million?

Your odds of winning any lottery improve greatly if everyone else has the wrong numbers and you have the right ones. But, when it's all said and done, you actually only have 2 odds of being a winner...either 0% or 100%.

I can remember, around 1980, ppl thinking I was a little strange because I would take my Vic 20 computer & 300 baud modem and chat with people on other computers.

Re: the Introduce Yourself thread

I knew Rodney was back because he & I have been battling it out on Pixel Trivia II. He came from out of nowhere and was starting to make me nervous ;) He still has a great memory for AZ and HAZ. Your voice of reason is appreciated here. Actually, my website search skills are a bit better than my me...

Re: the Introduce Yourself thread

I've always heard Indiana is great for canoeing. Lots of quiet little rivers. Have you tried that? All the little rivers would explain where all the rain goes! It rained more in the first 3 days I was here than it did the whole 3 years I was in AZ! But, since I spend between 12 to 14 hours a day in...

Here is another perfect example of "let it die" in my opinion. The plant and Flume are going away. End of story. Time to deal with it the best we all can. Hey Tom...have you been sleeping for the past 4 days? Try reading back through the thread a couple of times and if the root of the problem conti...

Ok...all those of you who think Mwell deserves respect in this thread, stand on your head and count to 1000. I st...

Re: flume closing for good (big changes) this year!!

If YOU, you who are reading this note, think that the deciscion to close this facility is "a good thing," as Martha would say, then we would have to say that YOU, who would think such a thing, would be deluded, delusional and defunct as a "critical thinker." If you think this is a good thing, our s...
