John was one of the sweetest men I have met. I will always fondly remember hiking the "Grandmother Lode" with him. RIP John.

Wonderful Idea! I might suggest that more that one copy is put into the zip lock bag. That way someone might be able to take a copy with them with all the contact info in case they found some clue without leaving the bag empty.

I also like the calendar idea.

My gf has to work Christmas Day and the Mt Peeley forecast for Saturday looks to be the best day through Monday, so what better thing for me to do but head out early for another day of searching. If anyone is interested in joining in, PM me and we can work out the details. Thanks! Maybe a Christmas...

Sounds like a lot of area was searched. I admire each and everyone who is getting out there to search. I wish I lived closed. I'll try to make it out in the next week.

This was a wonderful event. Thank you John for putting it together. It's so important that all of us who love nature give back. The clean up was quite impressive. So glad we filled your truck! Loved the hike...lunch was delicious...ice cream was super...company the best!
