Hi all! My husband and I will be spending some time in Carefree next weekend and want to do an early morning or evening hike in the area. I searched this site and found a few that were kind of close, but the reviews were not recent and a couple of them are just out of the question (no 4 wheel drive)...

LOVE the poles! My husband and I are novice hikers and find the poles great for up and downhill. They give the arms a little more of a workout, too.

Has anyone hiked in Canyon de Chelly this time of year? If so, do you have any recommendations? Also, is there a possibility that it could be closed? I don't think it's part of the forest. Thanks!
