It will probably be hot. Temps will be in the 90's unless you get lucky with a late spring pacific storm. Bring a lot of water, wear long sleeve shirts, and wear a large brim hat.

It looks like a hanger and it pushes together so you can get it inside the camelbak bladder. It then expands to dry out the bladder.

I'll try to post a link or get a picture for ya. My wife got it a REI

I got the new "big mouth" nozzle from Camelback and it has worked perfectly. I bought it at popular. It gives you better water flow then the old mouthpiece. 8)

I always use a watch to calculate distance travelled. I lets me know how far to the next junction, etc.

But, now that I bought a GPS I hope it will be much easier.

No problem, CK1 I won't hold that against you. I totally understand about the cigarette butts and other stuff. My wife and I were in a very remote part of Garden Valley, no footprints but ours and we come upon cigarette butts. It looked like someone dumped their asstray. My wife wondered out loud if...

I really didnt think I would get any reaction to this article. It's amazing to see different points of view from people who walk the same trails that I do. :)

I come from the conservative side of politics and I do understand the "liberal" point of view. I really believe that the environmentalist wacko's have hijacked the Democratic party for their own twisted agenda. Most of the Greens live in urban area and don't have a clue about wilderness or the cycle...

I totally understand about the "cool" natural fires. The forest does need them. Jane Hull was just talking bluster about the Clinton's "liberal" administration. He really bent over backwards for the "greens" and environmentalist. What strikes me is that most, if not all, of the "greens" don't live n...
