I'm thinking of hitting Horton Creek in the next couple of weeks and the "fall colors" on the forest service site have not been much help. Anyone know when the best time to his that trail and get the most fall foliage? Are there any other trails in that region that are just as good?

Payson get real exiting during thier national oldest "continuous" rodeo. Tons of news coverage. Joys of a small town. At least they don't have all the shootings (other than hunting) and other crime we have here in the valley.

Nice thing about living in the valley, it's not too far of a drive to hike in the mountains to get away from the pollution, traffic, noise etc. I too enjoy the heat but it sure is nice to head up north for a difference of 10-15 degrees during the peak summer months.

I went to Payson this past weekend and were the stars amazing! However, according to the Payson Roundup (local paper) and various websites, the reason for such an abundance of stars is because Payson is "one of only three pure ozone belts in the world..." Does anyone know what this means? ...

Something my family can enjoy together. Preferably a forest with a stream/creek bed and visible wildlife.

Does anyone know of a local place (Phoenix, Mesa) that sells hiking bumperstickers? I've seen a few on the back of cars, but when I go to places like REI, Cabela's etc no one seems to cary any. Thanks!
