In response to Trishness' reply: Well, I may very well take you up on that kind offer! I'm thinking about trying that Flatiron hike this Thursday or Friday if you're interested. I know that's not the weekend, but just in case. Should be a good time, if we get any of this rain on Wedneday that the w...

In response to Greg Jackson's reply: Thanks to Greg and Daryl for the responses! Just still a little confused about the Discovery trail directions though. Isn't the Lost Dutchman State Part entrance the one that's closed? When I drove out there last week, they had big signs saying it was closed and...

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I had thought about the South Mountain hike and I like the idea of doing the Hidden Valley loop, even though it's right here in the city. I'm thinking he'll value it more if we get away from town. Actually I think the best suggestion is to sign him up here and ...

Best Desert Hike to impress

Went to Colorado last weekend to hike a 14'r with my cousin who I hadn't seen in years. Really enjoyed it and the scenery was awesome. He's planning a trip down here next spring, and wants a not-to-strenuous desert hike with good scenery. He also said he likes a hike to have a point that you're tryi...
