Re: Lone Pine TH
ah, right on. I will probably just go around. Last time out (about a year ago) I rolled my civic down El Oso and kind of wanted to avoid it, but dont really want to rough the Outback up too much... So I think i will just go El Oso.
Are the bugs out yet?

Just wondering what shape the access road off the Bee line was in.
I have a Subaru Outback now and thinking about taking this route as apposed to the El Oso route.
so anyone been up there recently?

Humphreys inner basin
I was able to tackle the summit trail in 5hrs. How much longer can I expect the inner basin trail to take... about 7 total?
is it harder because it is longer? Or is the trail a bit steeper?

Re: Humphreys question
That is kind of what i figured. I was thinking i could possibly trim about 10 to 15 off my time up and save about a half hour on the way down by running and not falling.

For those who weight train... what type of work out do you do? I have been weight training for a few years now, but feel my work out could be geared more towards hiking/climbing. Currently my workout includes: Hike Camelback in the morning: 3 to 4 times a week Weight train: day 1: Bis and chest day ...

Do you guys carry any rope in your pack just in case? If so, how much.
I am thinking about picking up a few feet to throw in the pack just in case I may need it.

Re: Browns Peak
Tried to make it over to peak 2 this weekend... Think I finally found the route but due to lack of time I couldnt make it over.... Once you get to Browns Peak do you cut across the peak and then head down and over or do you cut through the trees at the mini saddle at the top of the chute?
