Re: Osprey women's backpack teal/green - $145

I didn't realize that not posting all the picks I wanted, the important information was left out.
It is an AURA 65 AG, WS 41-48cm.

Osprey women's backpack teal/green - $145

I have used this pack only three times to realize it might be a bit too big for me. Since I have had it for 2 years, another story why I have not used it more during this time, REI would not take it back. Fair. I want to mention that it is sort of squeaky. It could be the frame or it could be the fa...

Re: Hiking In Brazil, Anyone Been?

We made it their. Anything inside of either canyon has to be led by a guide. You can hike on your own on the rim and there were a few trail signs. Unfortunately I got sick and ended up having my gall bladder removed so didn't get to do anything at the canyons. We hiked in parks and reserves around G...

Hiking In Brazil, Anyone Been?

We are in the process of planning a trip to Brazil and we want to hike in Canyon Fortaleza. So far it looks like any hikes IN the canyon are only led by guides and really geared toward tourists. 8 hours for a 9 mile hike. I wanted to see if there were any other options for through canyon hikes becau...

FOUND: Wallet, Peters Canyon/Tortilla Creek

We found a wallet at the intersection of Tortilla Creek and Peters Canyon yesterday. Looks pretty old, been wet. PM me with the name of the owner to claim it.

Good info on the zipper, I've got another tent that we love that the zippers are clogging on. May look in to that since its a favorite. The tent and pack have been claimed.

Re: Trail Maintenance on Campaign Trail (Superstitions)

Sorry, just getting back to this. They were all wearing what looked like forest service clothes. Mostly young people so I would guess it was not volunteers. Most likely getting paid.

Trail Maintenance on Campaign Trail (Superstitions)

There is a trail maintenance team camping at Oak Flat. They just started working the Campaign trail on Thursday I believe. Not sure how far they will get but they are doing a great job. Could definitely use some clearing.....and some switchbacks. One of the guys said he cleared West Pinto last year,...

Re: The 23 most intense hikes in America

Bucskin? Really? Other than the 'Muck' its a cake walk. Incredible, but easy.

I might have to give Kings peak a try over labor day, we were just gonna check out Red Castle. We'll see how the altitude sickness goes. Seems I am prone.

What happened to the See-Drew loop?

I've got a See-Drew Loop GPS track downloaded from a while back. I can't seem to find it again. Has the trail changed so much that the old loop is not passable? I was planning on hiking it tomorrow to get some miles in slightly cooler temps. There are some changes sighted in the Drew at See write up...
