I'm in the Prescott area and would like to get out for a Saturday/Sunday April 24 and 25 backpack. Maybe 8 to 10 moderate miles each day. Anybody have any ideas or also looking to get out and want somebody to join them? Let me know.

Ending up doing the Houston Brother's Trail to Aspen springs. Great small backpacking trip. Had an elk run through camp as we were setting up. Thanks for all the help.

I am unfamiliar with any of the trails adequate for an easy backpacking trip. I'll look around the site and see if I can find an alternative.

Called the ranger station and talked to June. No road closures and the HB trail is open.

No worries. She is carrying her own gear. I have everything to outfit her, including a brand new Osprey pack I helped her fit. Thanks for all the help. Hope to someday see some of you out on the trail.
